I just wanted to give a short update on some of the interesting sightings.
First of all, on our first day in Mexico, on our way out of McDonald's, we saw a group of what looked like members of a "Swat Team" all sitting down in the back of a moving truck! They were fully armed, and each of them carried a machine gun! We thought that was kinda' weird, but as we got further into Mexico, we realized that that was the way that most of the Police and people traveled! We saw some as young as children riding in the back of trucks!
Another day, we saw a military truck transporting ten or eleven fully armed military personal in the back. We took a few pictures (from far away) and I sketched a drawing of what it kind of looked like: (click on the pictures to get s better look)
We have also been counting the number of beetles we have passed by, and so far, we've seen 182 Volkswagen Beetles! About 30 in the US, and 152 in Mexico! (so far)
